EVV from VerifyIT
Electronic Visit Verification - EVV - What is it?
EVV is an electronic means to track health care services provided to clients in their home or in aged-care facilities. EVV tracks location, client info, caregiver info, service provided, date and time of the visit, and more, in real-time.
The VerifyIT EVV System - How does it work?
VerifyIT provides a secure NFC tag that is installed in the home of the client receiving the health care services. The secure NFC tag can be installed on a wall, door, or other suitable surface.
A simple "tap" on the secure NFC tag with the caregiver's smartphone is the only action each caregiver needs to make. This tap will deliver proof of presence, resulting in a digital record documenting and authenticating the caregiver’s arrival and departure.
The tap activates the care provider's smartphone which exchanges client data with the VerifyIT system. The data communication is secure and done in real-time.
A simple "tap" creates an automated experience which allows caregivers to focus on patient care instead of paperwork.
What data does the system collect?

Benefits of EVV Systems for the Care Provider Organisation
Basically: What's in it for my organisation?
Reduced Paperwork In most cases, EVV replaces much of the paper-based documentation systems. That means fewer after-hours charting for caregivers and less paperwork for office staff to process.
Faster reimbursement You no longer have to wait for caregivers to return paperwork, or for someone to process all that paperwork, before you can submit claims. You get data about the visit as soon as the caregiver checks out. With most EVV solutions, all you need to do is review and submit.
Reduced chance of audit By catching fraud before it happens, EVV helps to protect your organization's reputation and your CMS contract.
Fewer missed/late visits The VerifyIT EVV system will send you alerts when caregivers fail to check in, so you can find out what happened and send another caregiver if necessary.
Improved patient care and satisfaction Because you know when caregivers miss visits, you can follow up with patients quickly and ensure their needs are met.
Care Giver Compensation EVV is also used by employers to track employees timesheets. EVV systems can integrate with payroll systems that allow providers to control costs, pay correctly and keep records in accordance with Fairwork regulations.
EVV manages full-time and part-time staff as well as temporary contractors Today’s healthcare workforce is more dynamic than ever, and your management tools should support all types of work arrangements. This capability is especially beneficial for teams managing timesheets, payroll and billing when the information about services provided is synced directly from the organization’s EVV system.
Your Organisation Getting Paid PCS claims created without EVV are much more likely to be reviewed, possibly denied, or held for later review/resolution. Implementing an EVV system will have a cost but that cost will be recovered quickly and you will make for more profit, provide better services and have a happier staff.
The economic argument for investing in a mobile EVV solution is clear.
Benefits of EVV Systems for the Care Giver
Happier care giver staff is the main benefit.

Benefits of EVV Systems for the Client
Client benefits from an EVV system:
What happens if there is no data connection available?
EVV systems can provide capabilities for remote client locations which do not have wireless services. EVV systems can be designed to offer a backup-verification method such as through a landline. Also, EVV systems be can designed to capture location data such as GPS and other client data and store that information until a data connection becomes available for upload.
